We’re hosting our inaugural Latin America Lab, Politics of Climate Narratives / Political Communications in Climate Narratives Lab, a media Lab set to advance strategic communications that center community voices as shapers of politics. This lab takes inspiration from the struggles of grassroots mobilizers and political organizers, and seeks to identify levers of change that exist at various governance/political levels, examining how movements shape outcomes that resonate with broader climate justice demands.

February 15 - 17, 2024

Venue
Addis Ababa, Ethiopia

Changing dynamics in the climate space has made it apparent for new strategies to emerge that seek to critically examine and strengthen movement advocacy spaces, and numerous ways we can collectively devise solutions to challenges that intersect climate change, development and just transition. With this in mind, we host a Lab on advocacy and movement narratives around climate litigation, diplomacy and strategic campaigning.

Over the course of 3 days, the program seeks to converge practitioners to critically examine some of the factors that affect or influence movement building, campaigning and narrative change in the climate justice space through shared experiences, strategic exchange and agenda setting on what the future should be.
